Welcome to the Loring PTO!

When your family joins the Loring School community, you become a part of the Loring PTO; a community of parents, teachers and school administrators joining together to enrich the educational and social experience of our students.

Parent involvement is critical to our success and there are a number of ways to get involved. If you are interested in learning more about the different opportunities available please email our co-chairs Anne Devine and Melissa Perla.

Your child should have received their order form in their red folder. ALL ORDERS DUE APRIL 11th!!!!

This fundraiser makes amazing gifts! Not only should we support our exceptional Art teacher…but the kids work extra hard on this specific square each year, in hopes of seeing their masterpiece come to life!

Please consider ordering online! It is the most simple, fool-proof way to make sure we get the order right. However, if you are unable to do so, paper orders are great too! 😀

If you have any questions about how to order, please email: jessicasnoble@gmail.com.
Scholarships are available, contact Karen Blumberg for more information.

PTO: Open Positions for 25/26 School Year

3/26/2025 10:29 am

The PTO relies on volunteers to run successfully.  We will have to cancel events and programs if we do not have committees to run them.

OPEN ROLES 2025-26:

* Fun Run Coordinator (est. 12hrs spread throughout year) - we have an experienced team but need a volunteer to oversee event & coordinate with vendor (Boosterthon).

This is one of our largest fundraisers ($15K+) and we will have to cancel for 2026 if we don't have a chair.

* Yearbook Coordinator (12+hrs) - coordinate with Coffee Pond (yearbook vendor), take photos, arrange layout, and organize volunteers to assist. This is a very flexible, work-from-home position that requires no experience.  We have a sales team, so this role would be focused on creating yearbook.

* Leopardfest Committee (Chair (est. 10 hrs) and support roles (est. 5 hrs)) - plan and execute our back to school celebration.  Our current team is aging out of Loring and we need new members to keep this event going.  Planning can begin over the summer and is wrapped by end of September.

* Bingo Night (> 2hrs in addition to event time)) - Held in late Fall, support roles needed

Exec Board positions

(12+hrs spread throughout year, additional meetings & responsibilities dependent on role) -

Co-chair, Secretary (all are 2 year terms).  Email for further information on either role.

Most roles can be done primarily from home and all can be tailored to the time you have available. Thanks to everyone who has reached out and stepped up to keep our PTO running strong!

Please email cochairs@loringpto.org for more info.

Second Grade Creative Enrichment: Discovery Museum

3/26/2025 10:15 am

Last Thursday, our pawsome 2nd graders investigated the physical properties of solids, liquids, and gases during a Discovery Museum traveling workshop. Each class was able to explore dry ice and liquid nitrogen while observing solids turn directly to gas. They even saw a balloon inflate with just dry ice, a flower shatter and a banana hammer! This was definitely a student favorite!
